About AG Agenda Watch
AG Agenda Watch, a project of the American Tort Reform Association, monitors the litigation and political agenda of state attorneys general. Since the mid-1990s, many state attorneys general (AGs) have worked closely with personal injury lawyers to:
- Advance a social policy and regulatory agenda through the courts.
- Develop new theories of liability that can be used to target entire industries for litigation.
- Oppose legislation that can bring greater transparency and accountability to the contingent fee contracts entered into by state attorneys general and personal injury firms.
Our goal is both to serve as a watchdog and to educate policymakers, allied legal reform organizations, and the media about the litigation agenda and political activity of our nation's attorneys general.
