Making Progress in Policy
Recognizing the need for greater transparency and accountability, legislative leaders across the country are sponsoring bills to reform state attorneys general practices.
To date reforms have been introduced in five states, including:
- West Virginia, where a requirement that the AG must notify the governor and legislature of settlements in excess of $250,000, has become law.
