Attorney General seeks cash, power to hire outside lawyers in fight against Gulf oil spill

Attorney General Buddy Caldwell doesn't know when he will file a lawsuit against BP and other possible corporate defendants such as Halliburton and Transocean for their roles in the deadly rig explosion that continues to spew oil into the Gulf of Mexico and into Louisiana's delicate wetlands. But the state's top lawyer says he immediately needs more firepower to hire outside help for a fight that is almost sure to come.
